Our standard fee for therapy, assessment, and consultation services is $245 per hourly session, payable at the end of each session. Payment may be made by e-transfer, pre-authorized debit, or credit card. While psychological services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), many workplace extended health benefits can cover these services. Also, student benefit plans at certain colleges and universities, including Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo, provide some coverage to work with psychologists in private practice. It's essential to check with your specific provider to determine the coverage for each session and the total amount available per benefit or calendar year. At the conclusion of each session, you'll receive a detailed receipt for reimbursement purposes, including the psychologist’s certificate number, service provided, and the amount paid. Note that we don't bill insurance companies directly, but you can submit the receipt for reimbursement. Fees for non-covered services can be claimed as medical expenses on your annual income tax return.
